Many people see the ocean as an endless resource. Something to be used and abused as they see fit. They think that if you throw something in it it just floats away. Or sinks to the bottom, never to be seen again.
Unfortunately that's very far from reality. We are currently experiencing a worldwide mass extinction of marine life, something that as well as being a devastating and non-reversible process also deeply affects our planet and all those who live on it.
Please help us fix this situation. It might soon be too late.
Subscribe hereBelow you can read about some of the things that Saving Atlantis and our wonderful team of volunteers are doing in order to actively better the situation.
All of our members are wholly dedicated to this cause. We want our children and grandchildren to get the same opportunities we ourselves have been given. We do not want to have to tell them that we could have done something but didn't - that we just stood and watched until it was too late.
So, while it is true that we need the state leaders, global corporations and lawmakers of the world to step up and accept their responsibility, Saving Atlantis has made it our mission to do what we can here and now. We are both putting our best efforts into forcing the aforementioned groups of people to take action, as well as doing the dirty work needed in order to clean up beaches, save stranded marine animals and everything else we can think of.
As long as we have something to fight for, the struggle is always worth it.
Fight with us

This beach cleaning crew worked tirelessly throughout a whole weekend on a quest to restore their hometown beach to its former glory.

We are currently working on an information campaign designed to enlighten people about the issue of marine plastic pollution and force Norwegian politicians to take action.

Marine pollution doesn't only hurt marine life, it also deeply affects those living in traditional seaside communities. We at Saving Atlantis want to make sure that their voices are heard.

With the pandemic came a new way of living, in all too many ways.
The medical face mask has become somewhat of a symbol of the past two years. In today's world, most people have become so used to seeing these that they don't even think about them anymore.

Many of those who have participated in our beach cleaning days have reported that they have found them to be an extremely welcoming environment and were often able to make new friends - all while doing something good for the planet!

Our entire coast needs some loving - not just the well-known and easily accessible beaches! That's why we would like to encourage you to bring some plastic with you home if you venture out on a coastal hike. But remember - always stay safe, and do not take any risks.
